Maseru __ Democratic Congress (DC) Leader, Mr. Mathibeli Mokhothu has urged the party's leadership to maintain and keep peace in all 80 constituencies countrywide.

He shared these sentiments when addressing a leadership conference that has seen participation of senior members within DC from different constituencies over the weekend.

Talking to members who converged in Berea, the Leader highlighted the importance of this annual conference held in line with the party's constitution, section 3.3 and 3.4 respectively.

He explained that it is in this forum where senior members of the party introspect, tackle as a team challenge facing the party as well as seek lasting solutions to those.

"Therefore, as you go back to your constituencies, go in one spirit whose intention is to build peace, resilience and growth of the party". He added.

Meanwhile, resolutions made at this conference as established from DC Youth League President, Pheello Sehlabaka include an appeal for members good conduct wherever they are and to avoid being hungry for power.

Again, he said the conference resolved to amend its constitution so that youth gain 20 percent representation in all aspects of the party.

He concluded that participants have further been called to proactively prepare for the next upcoming general elections.

DC remains the main opposition in the Parliament of Lesotho today otherwise Mr. Mokhothu serves as Leader of Opposition parties.
