Maseru __ The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Secretary General Mr Mokhosi Mohapi is attending a two-day 2025 FIFA Compliance Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The association's Communications and Media Manager, Mr. Mikia Kalati said this is the fifth edition of the FIFA Compliance Summit which is in line with the Football mother body's continued commitment to promoting good governance and Compliance across Member Associations, the Confederations and Football in general.
He said the in-person event has brought together governance and compliance experts and practitioners from across the world of football, including representatives from FIFA, Members Associations and Confederations to discuss best practices, share knowledge and explore the latest trends.
Each of FIFA's 211 Member Associations has been invited to send a delegate to the gathering who oversees compliance matters of the Association.
Meanwhile Kalati indicated that Lesotho’s Kate Lefatle, a seasoned broadcaster with a long-standing tenure at Lesotho National Broadcasting Services (LNBS), has flown out of the country to attend the COSAFA Women's Commentator/Presenter Workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa.
''The workshop, hosted by COSAFA, brings together aspiring female football commentators and presenters from across the Southern African region. It follows the success of last year's inaugural Women's Commentator Workshop and has now expanded to include presenters'', Kalati said.
He commented that, aimed at discovering and nurturing new talent in football media, the workshop offers participants the chance to hone their skills alongside industry heavyweights such as SuperSport director Nono Cele, Lwazi Ziqubu, and Mbali Sigidi. The program also includes an exclusive tour of the world-class SuperSport studios.
Participants will create demo recordings to showcase their newly acquired skills in both commentary and presentation, giving them a valuable platform to launch or elevate their broadcasting careers.
