MASERU __ In celebration of Father’s Day, Man Up Association Lesotho calls men to see fatherhood as God's calling.

The association's Chairperson Mr. Mpho Mahula told the Agency in an interview that men are Heads of families, this is enshrined in the Scriptures.

Mr. Mahula therefore urged men to introspect, start seeing their role as God's calling rather than just being fathers'.

"We do not choose our children but God does, it is not surprising that this day is on Sunday, a day we must all go to our Churches and embrace God."

Meanwhile, several activities according to different associations, churches and organisations have a variety of lined up activities to celebrate this day, with Thanksgiving being dominating.

This day is designated to honour and celebrate fathers, the significant role they play in other people's lives, from childhood to adulthood.

Man Up is a local association for men aimed at bringing them together, sharing challenges they face and seeking lasting solutions.
