Maseru __ His Majesty King Letsie III has expressed profound gratitude for the mercy and grace that have sustained him and Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso throughout their 25 years of marriage. Speaking during a special Silver Jubilee celebration held at the Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa (LECSA) in Maseru on Sunday, the King credited their enduring union to divine intervention rather than personal strength or wisdom.

“It is not through our own wisdom or power, but by God’s strength that we have reached this milestone,” said His Majesty. “We are thankful for His mercy and grace, which have carried us through to this point as husband and wife, and as parents to our three children.”

Describing the Jubilee as a sacred opportunity to glorify God, the King emphasized their continued reliance on divine guidance. He further offered a prayer that God would expand their blessings and enable them to reach 50 years in holy matrimony.

The King also appealed to the congregation for ongoing spiritual support. He asked that the public keep the royal family in their prayers so they may fulfill their God-given responsibilities and meet the expectations of the Basotho nation.

The service at LECSA was part of a broader series of church visits by Their Majesties in celebration of their Silver Jubilee, which marks 25 years since their wedding in 2000.
