The Mokhotlong Police expressed the need to work with the community, to disperse the criminal groups around areas in Mokhotlong district.

The officer commanding the Mokhotlong Police Supretendent Mpiti Khutlang, said this at Lehohla village in Mokhotlong, during a public gathering organized by the Office of the Administation of the Mokhotlong District, and the national security Agancies.

Supretendent Khutlang explained that among all the places in Mokhotlong, Tlokoeng is one place with the highest rate of stock theft, being reported at the police stations almost every day.

At the same occasion a member of the Lesotho Defence Force Captain Libete Mofilikoane, urged people to refrain from crime and encouraged them to hand over illegal firearms to the police.

The Mokhotlong district administater Mr Serame Linake said they are concerned with the increasing rate of stock theft in Mokhotlong, and further said they initiated to host the crime prevension awareness campaign to target the concerned areas.
