The Prime Minister Hon Ntsokoane Matekane assured youth that the national dialogue will be staged annually to give feedback, analyze progress and map the way forward.This he said when closing the national dialogue with youth under the theme “ Collective contributions to curb unemployment” at Manthabiseng Convention Centre on Wednesday.

Matekane said he had heard the youth plea to establish the Youth Development Agency, which will address the government declaration of unemployment as a state of emergency.He also mentinoed that they areware that most young people are not working and they started with other things as paving a way to great more jobs<<<Matekane 1>>

He said he also noted their need for deployment of agricultural and business extension officers in community councils as well as consideration of a certain percentage for youth employment in civil service amongst others. He pledged that some of their requests will soon be addressed as some are already in place, commending them for their dedication to be independent.Tichere Lepati is one of the young people who took part at the dialogue yesterday<<matekane2..

He also assured that the government will utilize funds from the 2025/26 budget estimates to create the 62,000 long-term, short-term and mid-term jobs he promised Basotho.
