The Officer Commanding Mafeteng Police Superintendent Molefe Mafaufau has condemned acts of killings which took place within different areas in the district.

In an interview with news Agency, LENA on Tuesday, Supt Mafaufau said about five people have been murdered from December 24 to 26.

He highlighted that these incidents took place at Ha Seitlheko, Kolo Ha Petlane, Thabana-Morena and Matsatseng whereby four of them died at the scene of crime except one case where the victim died before consulting a doctor at the nearby Health Centre. 

Superintendent Mafaufau however said even though people were dead they have worked hard to control crime, saying all these incidents happened at family's feasts whereby no one could think of conflicts that could lead to death.

The deceased were killed through use of illegal guns, hitting with traditional sticks and being stoned to death.
