His Majesty King Letsie III accepted letters from Finland and Netherlands ambassadors to Lesotho at the royal palace in Maseru yesterday.

During the event, His Majesty the King said Lesotho and Netherlands must work together to prevent the crisis caused by climate change, which restricts achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

He said Netherlands is a development partner to Lesotho, and that it helped Lesotho with developments which include social development programs, water and forest conservation programs and the improvement of education and health services.

He also said Netherlands and Lesotho are respectable kingdom countries, and that this signifies that these two countries are working together for unity.

His Majesty further said Netherlands assisted Lesotho with many developments, such as building Netherlands Hall in the National University of Lesotho (NUL)’s main campus in Roma and a home for disabled people in Leribe.
