Twenty-one years old man Mahooana Mahase of Ha-‘Mant’sebo, appeared in the Maseru Magistrate Court on the 19th September 2019 for allegedly possessing illegal firearm.

He was handed two years imprisonment, or to pay a bail worth M2 000 which he paid and was released.

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Deputy Spokesperson Sergeant ‘Mareabetsoe Mofoka, said the man was in police custody, suspected with the killings of people at Mahloenyeng and at the Matsieng Plateau.

Victims of the killings included children, and the suspect is aiding the police with investigations in this matter.
