Three armed men attacked a Pakistan business man and his driver, when they were carrying their business stock at Ha-Mafefooane in Roma on the 26th September 2019.

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Deputy Spokesperson Sergeant ‘Mareabetsoe Mofoka, said the men assaulted the business man and his driver with a gun and a hammer.

She said during the attack one vehicle appeared and the business man ran to it, and the owners took him to a police station.

Mofoka said the men tried to go back to the car of the business man which was left with the driver, and by then people had already been notified of the incidence.

She said the police formed road block to try to catch the armed men but they passed and ran away, and further along the road residents had also blocked the road with rocks.

Mofoka explained that the men tried to run away on their feet, but they were chased by residents who caught two of them, while the third man is still on the run.
