INCB PUSHES LESOTHO TO GROW MARIJUANA.
INCB pushes Lesotho to grow marijuana.
09 October 2019 | 14:29

Minister of Health Honorable Nkaku Kabi said he met with the International Narcotics Board (INCB) in Austria, after they showed their concern that Lesotho registered 145 marijuana trade licenses, while INCB had required them to register 200 licenses.

Honorable Kabi said among the 145 trade licenses they registered; only five are in working since start of their operation.

He said INCB demanded that they grow marijuana, within a quota of 200 marijuana trade licenses, and export marijuana of the quantity correspondent with the set quota.

He stated that other countries wanted to grow marijuana, but were not allowed as they did not have enough investors, but Lesotho was allowed though it is not using the opportunity it was given.

He said INCB ordered them to start their operation before the end of October 2019, or the licenses they registered with Basotho will be withdrawn.

He said because of this they are going to review their data, and remove people who have licenses and are not using them.
