The Right Honorable Prime Minister of Lesotho Dr Motsoahe Thomas Thabane officially launched a three days Plenary II of Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue of the National Constitutional Reforms in Maseru, which started on Monday 25th November 2019 and will end on Wednesday 27th November 2019.

At the event Dr Thabane said at the beginning of this dialogue process on the 26th December 2018, His Majesty King Letsie III commanded them to embark on this important journey, guided by constitutional enthusiast, sincerity and selfness mindful of the challenges of poverty, under development and political instability that have crippled Lesotho since independence.

He said the purpose of this meeting is for them to take a moment, and look back at the glorious journey they have travelled so far.

He also said as they approach their destination, they have come to a point where they have to take difficult but unavoidable decisions, on behalf of Basotho who have sincerely bestowed their trust on them.

During the meeting SADC Facilitator to Lesotho Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke, expressed her gratitude to all the leaders who were present at the meeting, to discuss what they have achieved so far and to see where they are now, in their efforts to work out the challenges facing Basotho.

He said when they started this journey, they had to bring back into the country people who were on exile, and they held negotiations and reached agreements for those people to come back into the country.

Chief Justice Moseneke further stated that currently they are at a point of discussion, leading to taking major decisions for the country.
