Letšeng Diamonds Mine will donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and food parcels to 483 households, in the Pae-la-Itlhatsoa area in Mokhotlong.

The official handover ceremony will be held on Saturday 13th June 2020, at Phuthalichaba village.

The purpose of the donation is to lend a hand in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, and to promote long-term hygiene in the neighbouring communities.

The PPE to be donated will include sanitizers, liquid soap and masks, and tippy taps will also be installed in each household to promote hand hygiene.

The villages that will benefit from the donation will include Maloraneng, Ha-Seema, Patising, Matlakeng, Ha-Moroke, Ha-Nthimolane.

In April, Letšeng donated a four-roomed modular structure to the Ministry of Health, to be used for Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing, at the National Laboratories in Maseru.

Letšeng further partnered with the Ministry of Health in Mokhotlong, for the training of 48 village health workers, to create awareness about COVID-19 pandemic in the communities.
