The chairperson of the student representative council CRC at the National University of Lesotho Mr. Reatlehile  Makateng says his fellow students are suffering after the government withdrew its support for the students' academics.

He says they are already at the end of the academic year but the government still has not paid a cent hence the school is withholding their transcripts.

Makateng further indicated that to date the government is still turning a blind eye to the situation; therefore this has hindered the progress of the students.

He stated that he went to NMDS to enquire about their fate, but NMDS told him that the minister of Finance still has not processed the funds to the student`s accounts.

Makateng articulated that his efforts to meet with the minister of Finance failed; therefore at this point in time the school is not ready to give students their academic credentials without any proof of payment.
