DUDUZANE ZUMA ON PRESIDENTIAL RUN
DUDUZANE ZUMA ON PRESIDENTIAL RUN

It seems Duduzane Zuma was serious all along about running for president in 2024: The controversial businessman admits he is rather new in the world of politics, but reckons that just might be what the country needs.

Zuma recently had an interview with Johannesburg-based radio station POWER 98.7 recently to shed some light on his ambitions to one day occupy the Union Building, a seat once occupied by his father, former president Jacob Zuma.

When talking about the ANC, a party that has been riddled with allegations of infighting and corruption, Duduzane Zuma believes it needs fresher and younger faces. Zuma told the radio station that he still believes in the ANC and the policies the governing party has crafted over time.

According to Zuma, the ANC still applies the same tactics as it did decades ago – and that needs to change.

“We cannot have the same players on the field trying to make plans for people that think differently in this day and age. All we are saying is that time is done. We need fresh and younger perspectives

Given all the divisions that have emerged within the ANC, whether Zuma’s bid for president will be a successful, remains to be seen
