The Mafeteng based outfit Bantu FC is currently awaiting the response from the Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) after formally filing a complaint against Assistant Referee in their Vodacom Premier League game against Liphakoe played in Mohale’s Hoek last weekend.

Both Bantu FC and Liphakoe FC settled for a two all draw in that match but the angry Bantu followers bayed for the blood of the Assistant Referee, claiming that he had denied the team five legitimate goals.Mr. Pule Mosoatsi who is Bantu FC Spokesperson told the Agency on Wednesday that the club’s management has already filed a formal complaint to the PLMC, complaining about biased officiating in their league match against Liphakoe.

However, he said they are still waiting for the PLMC response to hear what action would be taken against the Assistant Referee concerned. He said their complaint is accompanied with a match video as evidence to their complaint.PLMC was not available to confirm if Bantu FC has formally filed the complaint.

However, in an earlier interview, PLMC Spokesperson Mr. Bokang Phasumane had stated that he was unable to comment about what transpired in the league game between Bantu and Liphakoe until his office had received a match report from the match officials.

Bantu FC followers were reported to have threatened to manhandle the Assistant Referee accusing him for disallowing what looked like five legitimate goals against Liphakoe that led to both teams playing to a two all draw. They accused the Assistant Referee as he  is  the former Liphakoe player who is now a policeman from Quthing who was biased and deliberately disallowed the Bantu’s goals. These allegations have not been verified since the PLMC was not reachable.Bantu FC is one of the three premier league teams chasing the League title at the end of the soccer season in May this year.
