The Minister of Social Development Honourable Molahlei Letlotlo has uged Mphaki Community in Quthing to combat marriage of under-age girls.

Letlotlo said this on Friday at a public gathering which was held at Mphaki where he demonstrated the risk of sexual intercourse to under-rage girls since sexual inter-course ends up with pregnancy.

Letlotlo also indicated that under-age girls are not mature enough to go through pregnancy stage, since they come across certain problems when giving birth.

Through  this campaign, Letlotlo encourages the society to work together to combat and discourage early marriage within their villages.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, Under age child is any child who is under 18 years.
