The Nala Community Market, a community initiative by Mankabelane Communications, in collaboration with Bonono Merchants, Kangfong, Meri Hy?ky Photography, and Leseli Holdings will be celebrating its first birthday on the 26th March 2016.

The primary purpose of the initiative is to provide a platform for the public to access locally produced goods and fresh produce. . The secondary purpose is to provide an avenue for local small producers as a way to generate income and encourage self-employment.  Nala seeks to bring residents of Maseru and nearing towns together on a monthly basis to interact through shopping, dining and entertainment all in one venue space.

The company has recognized a need for family friendly events that also foster business relations with small vendors and suppliers in the food and craft industries hence the birth of The Nala Project: Community/Social Market.

The market also provides a stage for performers to share their craft in an open-setting to introduce their work to a diverse audience and provide entertainment to the public.

Showcased merchandise includes, but is not limited to; arts, crafts, clothing, accessories, beverages, food and services.
