The Ministry of Small Businesses, Cooperatives and Marketing yesterday announced that, it has found market for Basotho meat producers, which will be opened every Wednesday at Selakhapane Meraka in Maseru.

The Minister of Small Businesses, Cooperatives and Marketing Honourable Chalane Phori, said the ministry is working hard to ensure that Basotho animals are bought in the country, and are also in the market.

He said under the once famous Wool and Mohair project, to attract the market they are working hard to ensure that slaughterhouses are build in the districts, when the investigations they are currently carrying out are completed.

He indicated that his ministry in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, they are working hard to support animal producers and help them to sell their animals.

He further urged Basotho to work together so that their animals will have a better market, and encouraged them to participate in businesses to fight poverty and increase economy of the country.
