Habitat for Humanity Lesotho engaged a consultant to assess Lesotho`s gender equality in land governance using the Gender Evaluation Criteria (GEC) methodology, aimed at assessing the status of women`s access to land and property rights.
The study results will in turn enable Habitat to evaluate whether it is with its advocacy work in order to inform policies.
For this reason Habitat for Humanity Lesotho will hold a stakeholders’ workshop on Wednesday 27th June at Avani Maseru.
The workshop will host the presentation of a draft report on research that was carried out to assess the status of womens’ land and property rights in Lesotho.
Habitat for Humanity Lesotho reports that the aim of the work was to generate a baseline, assess the status of the country and provide a framework for advocacy work on women`s land rights in Lesotho
