The Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) says it will continue with its annual campaign of Money Month, aimed at teaching members of the public about the importance and proper use of money.

According to CBL, the campaign is meant to equip Basotho with the necessary financial skills, and the theme for this year’s campaign is “Money Matters Matter”.

With this campaign CBL says it will teach members of the public to formulate financial plans, to invest and to use their money wisely.

The bank also indicates that the purpose of this year’s campaign which will last for a month, is to show that being knowledgeable in the proper use of money, and in financial issues in general is important.

CBL further says knowledge of proper use of money improves the ability of the public, to make wise financial decisions in future.

The campaign will be held country-wide this year but it will take a week in Thaba-Tseka, where the bank will be teaching young people, students, farmers and private organizations about making sound financial decisions.
