The Lesotho Institute of Public Administration (LIPAM) students, are worried by their final examination results which are not yet published.

In an interview with Harvest FM yesterday, the LIPAM Students Representative Committee Deputy President Mr Maile Morris Ramohai, said according to the school calendar their results were set to be published on the 20th June 2018, but they were not published.

He said in that case LIPAM management did not make students aware of the situation, and as SRC they took some time without asking for information regarding the publication of their results.

Mr Ramohai further revealed that when they realized that time was passing without their results being published, they confronted the school management.

”He told us that the results are not yet published because there is a rumour that some lecturers are not yet paid their salaries, and in this case those lecturers have not submitted our results to the school management to publish them.” Said Ramohai.

”We decided to go to the office of the principal secretary, infact our school falls under the Ministry of Public Service.”He concluded

He said they did not find the principal secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, and they went into the minister’s office whom they found and explained to him that the students are worried, and asked him to go and address them on what is happening with their results.

According to Ramohai the Minister Honorable Joang Molapo, met the LIPAM students on Tuesday this week.

“He still told us that there are some lecturers who have not been paid their salaries, the reason being the school account has been freezed and that LIPAM is no longer able to access it for withdrawing the funds it needs. Those funds were deposited in the government account.”He continued.

He pointed out that Honorable Molapo promised them that he has taken some steps in the Ministry of Finance, to ensure that the lecturers which are not paid their salaries get paid.
