Berea, Mar 31—Members of Mohlaetoa Producers Cooperatives (MPC) in vegetables and herb clusters undertake production of herbs to supply nutrients and heal people, this was on Monday mentioned by Mrs. Kelebone Lerata.
In an interview with the Agency, Mrs Lerata said that she was troubled with heart disease earlier and she could not be cured, so she made it her responsibility to discover herbs that can cure her, highlighting that she even went to traditional doctors.

Mrs. Lerata pointed out that their herbs are taken in the form of tea, seeds, stem as well as trees highlighting that trees are led to grow and their leaves and roots are used as herbs such as guava leaves and fruits(grape). “Herb producers should have fruit trees as they are also part of the medication, fruits and vegetables are significant for the mixture of herbs,” she added.

“Herbs are in the form of food, parsley, pepper mint which are used as spices as well as tea which heals different sicknesses like high blood, diabetic disorder, and more. Some herbs are absorbed by skin,” she said.
In conclusion LENA absorbed that MPC are in the process of scientifically testing herbs which they assured to do after herb training workshop on May 3 to train Basotho about production of herbs.
