Superintendent Mabohlokoa Makotoko was on Monday accused by the defence in an ongoing Khetheng murder trial that she can be vindictive.

Advocate Karabo Mohau (KC), one of the defence lawyers, told Superintendent Makotoko, who had been recalled to a stand, that she disliked Senior Superintendent Talasi for being a messenger for her to receive a suspension letter.

This was after the court was informed that Senior Superintendent Talasi brought a message to the witness that she was needed at the office of Superintendent Thabo Tsukulu, one of the accused in this matter, where she was served with the suspension letter.

This was also after the witness insisted that a meeting was held in the office of Superintendent Tsukulu on June, 21st 2016 where Senior Superintendent Talasi was present. She added that Superintendent Tsukulu instructed her on what to say on an affidavit in a habeas corpus case relating to Khetheng.

She pointed out that what Superintendant Tsukulu suggested was not true. She added that Senior Superintendent Talasi suggested that she should follow the instruction.

The witness was told by Adv. Mohau (KC) that she lied about Senior Superintendent Talasi being present at the meeting. She was further told that their relationship went sour following the suspension adding that she no longer gave her compliments as her superior.

She was also told that her evidence that Superintendent Tsukulu instructed her to tell what she knew not to be true, is her way of getting back at him.
