World Vision Lesotho organized the meeting between the ministries responsible for the national dialogue on the enactment of Initiation Schools Bill.

The agreement indicated that the national initiation school committee and the government, will look at the advantages of the initiation schools and come up with the new rules that will govern them.

The leader of the initiation schools committee emphasized that the initiation schools are different from the circumcision that is done in hospitals, therefore it is still important that men who have circumcised go to the mountains to learn aout their culture and how to look after their families.

Therefore the ministry agreed to pass the bill that governs the initiation schools, and signed it together with the ministers responsible.

Therefore the law shall include the safety and the teaching of Basotho culture to differentiate it from other cultures.
