The Prime Minister of Lesotho, the honorable Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane yesterday officially opened the hospital in Maseru, which was popularly known as Queen Elizabeth II, and now is called Maseru District Hospital.

Among the important people that were present at this service is the former prime minister, Dr. Pakalitha Mosisili, Dr. Moeketsi Majoro, the minister of health, the honorable Selibe mochoboroane, several ministers of as well as the young prime minister, under the Kids Seminar program of Harvest Fm, the honorable Thato Sello among others.

The Prime Minister, Sam Ntsokoane Matekane said the services that will be made available include advanced eye examination, cancer screening, kidney cleaning, skin diseases and more.

Honorable Sello, in his speech, said that nurses and doctors should work hard to ensure that the Basotho community receives adequate services at all times.

The construction of this hospital was started in the year 2021 and it was built with an amount of over nine hundred million, with the help of the Chinese state, and it has about two hundred beds.
