With the purpose of fulfilling its mandate, the District Child Protection Team (DCPT) will on Tuesday next week hold a quarterly meeting at Hlotse in Leribe.
This was revealed by Secretary of DCPT Leribe, Mr. Morema Phits'ane in an interview with the agency. He explained that the team will reflect on past quarter activities and make corrections and come up with solutions in solving child issues in the district.
In addition, he said they will look into how many activities were implemented and those that were not accomplished. Mr. Phits'ane said they will come up with solutions on how to attend to them in future.
Talking about referral form, the secretary indicated that they will reflect on usage of DCPT tools, especially a referral form. He said they will look into whether the team uses the referral form appropriately, being filled up by the right people in different cases.
In conclusion, he said as the members of the team change time and again, the new members on board will be introduced and highlighted on the importance of the team in the district.
DCPT is made up of representatives from different government ministries and non governmental organizations operating in the district of Leribe.
