HARVEST FM KIDS SEMINAR RETURNS WITH A BANG ON LESOTHO INDEPENDENCE DAY

The Harvest FM Kids Seminar, an event beloved by children aged 10 to 12 in Lesotho, made a triumphant return on October 4th, coinciding with the nation's Independence Day. After the setback caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, this year's revival was nothing short of a spectacular success.

The seminar, which had been a staple in the community for years, featured ten distinct categories, each tailored to nurture young talent and leadership skills. The categories included Little Prime Minister, Little Principal, Little Speaker of the National Assembly, Little Chief Justice, Little Commissioner of Police, Little Commissioner of the Lesotho Correctional Service, Little Pastor, Little Mayor, Little Chef, and Little Commander.

The former honorables gracefully passed their responsibilities to the incoming officials, ensuring a seamless transition of power and responsibilities. This transfer of duties was a moment of pride and significance, demonstrating the importance of leadership and accountability in society.

The Harvest FM Kids Seminar was a remarkable showcase of talent and potential, and the young participants displayed exceptional skills and knowledge in each of their respective categories. The panel of adjudicators, comprising distinguished individuals from various fields, including the Lesotho Defence Force, business coaches and entrepreneurs, a pastor, a spiritual leader, and the Lesotho Mounted Police, had the difficult task of evaluating the outstanding performances.

In the coming weeks, these young officials will have the opportunity to experience their roles and responsibilities in their respective offices. This unique hands-on experience is designed to provide them with valuable insights and skills, empowering them to become future leaders of Lesotho.

The culmination of the Harvest FM Kids Seminar will be an educational trip to the beautiful city of Cape Town, offering the young participants an enriching experience that combines learning and exploration. This excursion will be a celebration of their hard work, dedication, and leadership abilities, serving as an inspiration for them to continue striving for excellence.

The Harvest FM Kids Seminar was open to children between the ages of 10 and 12, providing them with a platform to express their creativity, leadership potential, and overall abilities. The event not only encourages these youngsters to dream big but also provides them with a practical understanding of the roles they may aspire to in the future.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and all the participants who made this year's seminar a resounding success. Their achievements serve as a testament to the bright future that lies ahead for the young leaders of Lesotho.

As the Harvest FM Kids Seminar moves forward, we anticipate watching these young talents grow and thrive, making a positive impact on their communities and their nation. We look forward to sharing more updates about their journeys and the experiences they gain in their respective offices.
